The Weather
The weather in Hawaii is perfect. The average temperature is between 75 and 90 degrees, in summer and winter. There will normally be a breeze coming inland off the ocean to cool even the hottest days, and stir the scent of flowers in the air. It does get cool here - especially at elevation - but even in December, you'll be able to swim in the ocean with water temperatures of about 74 degrees F (80 degrees in summer).
The Scenery
Hawaii is a island of contrasts. The deep green grass against the deep blue ocean. The backdrop of sculpted mountains against the tropical blue sky. The pearl white beach sand covered by the light-green waters.
- Honolulu (including Waikiki) has the biggest concentration of small and large malls, street markets and food venues. Shopping highlights include Ala Moana Shopping Center, International Marketplace, Honolulu's Chinatown, and the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. There are also other malls and endless boutiques will lure you in for at least a bit of window-shopping.
