Honouliuli Wetland

The children learned that native Hawaiian birds and plants arrived in Hawaii by the 3 w's, the wind, flying (wings), or by the sea (waves). They learned how valuable these native Hawaiian birds and plants are and why we need to protect them. The Hawaii Nature Center and its staff did a wonderful job in helping the children.

The children loved scooping for specimens in this mucking in the mud activity.
