When the Weinberg Village for the homeless in Haleiwa was disbanded our principal, Sharon Nakagawa was able to obtain a number of the cottages from there. Through the tremendous effort and sacrifice of some parents the cottages have been magically transformed. The Waialua Elem. Country Store is nearly completed. The school's post office and counseling center will soon take shape.
The photo above shows the counseling center taking shape. Sus, husband of IRA teacher Aimee tirelessly works on the cottages after school and on weekends.
