In September 1996 Waialua Elementary funded by the School to Work Grant aided teachers in using a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate their students' multiple intelligences and different learning styles through their Academies. The Academies creates an interdisciplinary, problem/project based curriculum which allows students to apply what they have learned in a more authentic context.
This hothouse houses various flowers, vegetables, and also logs of mushrooms. This valuable hothouse was made possible by the tremendous efforts of parents and citizens from the community who volunteered endless hours in putting it together. Care to buy some mushrooms?
