WHS sophomores get ready to attend a Videoconference with Gyokuryo Junior High School students from Kumamoto, Japan.

Sophomores enjoy an early meal at Pizza Hut in the Stadium Mall before the late afternoon conference began at 5:30 p.m.

Four Aiea Intermediate students join the nine Waipahu High sophomores before the conference about the Disabled began. The conference took place in library of Makalapa Elementary School in Halawa, Oahu.

Team I reported about the American laws for the Disabled.

Team 2 reported about the State and Federal mandates for Special Education.

Team 3 reported about the transportation of the Disabled in America. They discussed traveling via the bus, train, car and boats.

Team 4 report about State and Federal Employment issues for the Disabled.

Team 6 shared their research about the physically challenged, namely Hirotada Ototake and others like him.

Students of Rie Yoshidomi watch their monitor intently as the teams of Waipahu High School and Aiea Intermediate report about State and Federally funded programs for the Disabled.

 

The Aiea Intermediate students reported about the Special Olympics.
