"Upgrading
and Repairing PCs" by Scott Mueller. In my opinion this is the
definitive work on the subject. A terrific primer on hardware issues for
PCs, a must-read for anybody who wants to be a PC technician. I've read it
cover to cover and own several editions. (Can you tell that I like it???)
"Windows
NT 4.0 MCSE Study Guide" by Alan Carter. Even if you don't intend
to obtain your MCSE this is an excellent reference book/primer on Windows NT
4.0.
"Platinum Edition - Using Microsoft Office 2000" by Laura Stewart (including a couple of chapters written by Ben!). Promises to be the definitive work on Office 2000. Every application covered, in depth, with installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
