Books I recommend...Back to Health & Fitness...(Click on the book cover to go to Amazon.com for more information or to purchase)
A very highly regarded book on the subject, a good addition to anybody's triathlon education.
"Triathlon:
Achieving Your Personal Best" by Rod Cedaro. This was the first triathlon book I bought and I found it a very useful exploration of the technical aspects of the event. Not too hard to read, lots of diagrams and some useful tips for us beginners.
I'd heard excellent things about this as a resource for beginners so I bought it and found the recommendations to be true. Lots of good information and perspective.
"Total Immersion" by Terry Laughlin. This is an EXCELLENT book for anybody who wants to swim faster and more efficiently. I read it myself and found myself swimming faster and, most importantly, more efficiently and comfortably. Easy to read and follow and only $11.20. Well worth it.
"Running by Feeling" by Brian Clarke This is the only book on this page that I haven't read, but I know Brian Clarke, my wife and I have trained with him, and I feel positively about his training program. If his book reflects his training program then I would certainly recommend it. |
