The Ewa Plain has sprouted with golf courses over the last decade and new shopping centers are being built near some of the new communities nearby.
Most of the nearest restaurants are local in fare, with Asian, European and American food also available in the Golf Clubs and nearby shopping centers.
Swimming & Snorkeling
While the ocean in front of the cottage is good for surfing and boogie boarding, because it is shallow and rocky, is not good for swimming and wading. The Ko'olina Resort which is 20 minutes away, has public access lagoons that are ideal for snorkeling and swimming. Whale watching and snorkeling tours are provided in Waianae, approximately 30 minutes away
