Fundamentals of Western Music


    by Neil McKay and Marion McKay, is an introduction to reading and notating Western music. It consists of 15 chapters, three appendices and a glossary/index. It is designed as a textbook for a one-semester course at the college level. No prerequisite or prior knowledge of music is needed.

    After publication in 1986 it was adopted by universities and colleges across the U.S. The second edition is now available in digital format on the Web!
