80 days left. That's it. I need a countdown clock or something snazzy. Being I don't know much about doing websites or where to even find one, you'll have to settle for my slide ruler method.

Busy week. Well, busy by my standards. It wasn't the usual arise at 7am, roll into work around 10am, return home at 3pm and in bed by 10pm.

Monday the crib arrived. Box is a bit crushed, so I hope the contents inside are safe. It's too heavy and bulky to really undo it now, but hopefully the condition is fine.

Tuesday was Kamehameha Day. Nothing special was going on, but I did leave work to early to go to Sam's Club to buy office supplies and food. For some reason it tired me out. ??

Wednesday I had the carpenter install our front screen door. He arrived at 7:45am and left at noon and only charged us $100. Worth every penny. We now have a wind tunnel funneling through our house. But seriously, it looks awesome and the cats love to sit there and stare at the birds fly by.

Thursday we had an appointment with a potential Pediatrician. We only met with one partner but liked her a lot and she's quite honest and open about childcare so it looked like a good fit. Bonus: They hold office hours 7 days a week and are 5 min from home. She gave some interesting advice (like you really don't need to sterilize the baby bottles after 6wks...Hot soapy water is sufficient). And an infant can travel after 6wks with no problem. So, it may be a possibilty that we will attend bunny's wedding (don't hold your breath). We'll have to wait and see when the time comes.

Friday I had a facial done by Prada at Neiman Marcus. (no eye rolling!)

Honestly, this was planned months ago, so I couldn't very well cancel. However, it was the most amazing one I've ever felt. I was in love with Prada skincare prior, but now my loyalty is sealed! You see, I have quite an oily T-zone (if you're confused already, skip this part). I have tried practically every moisturizer, exfolliant, and sunscreen there is out there for oily skin. Nothing seemed to make my face feel like the million bucks they promise. I end up looking greasy and shiny within an hour and my makeup either melts into my face or slides right down my cheeks. The Prada products they used made my face actually feel "normal" but moisturized, if that makes any sense. My face was neither tacky nor slippery and had a radiant glow. I could actually feel my pores breathing. What a relief! So of course, like any normal sucker, I plucked down my Neiman's card and asked for the works (you really don't want to know..). If you know anything about Prada in general, their skincare line has a price tag to match.

So after my relaxing afternoon and a fresh face, I stroll through the handbag department on my way to the car. It was now 4:30 and I was honestly planning on going home. I had cancelled plans with hubby as he was having an evening out with friends and I was looking forward to spending the evening puttering around the house.

Well, of course, Elaine from handbags was working so I had to stop and chat awhile. We mulled over the Kate Spade items on sale and nothing looked interesting. Until...some stock person decided to replenish the Burberry. Damn them. I was almost out the door. Anyway, for months, I have had my eye on the ultimate Burberry Diaper Bag. It's lovely. But the price makes it lovely to look at in the store only. So with Burberry on my mind for months (years, really), they unpacked one of my favorite styles. (I'm not adding any links here because I'm too lazy to go look up the http. You'll just have to imagine it yourself.) It was a "flower pot" handbag, with only 13" straps, meaning you carry it with your hand as opposed to sliding in over your shoulder. I think it's adorable, but after about 5 min, I would be sick of holding it. A hand-held purse is just not shopper-friendly.

I'm rambling, I know...

Anyway, out comes the slightly bigger version with dual shoulder straps. I gasp. Had to catch my breath. This was it..the style I love in a shoulder bag. And it was only $20 more than the smaller one (which is a marketing ploy..They up charge for the smaller, more popular one and less for the bigger one, hence making more profit on the better selling item).

Long story short...It found a new home:)

Feeling quite spunky after my new purchase, I made last minute plans with Laurie. We decided to see a movie at 7:30 so there was enough time to grab something small to eat first. When we finally found parking at the theatre and hiked the 10 miles from the parking lot, the movie was virtually sold out. We meandered around a bit and ended up in Borders. I found a book for hubby for Father's Day and several others for me.

Crawled into bed at midnight and passed out. Long day, long week.

Today should be spent packing misc stuff up and making more piles for the garage sale in two weeks. Laurie is expected to come by this am to pick up the dining table and server we sold her. We have plans to turn our dining room into a quasi-play room as our living room will get too cramped filled with toys and a baby swing and all the junk that goes with having a keiki. Since we haven't even eaten at our dining table since Thanksgiving, we're downsizing to something much smaller. As it is, we eat our meals off a low japanese-style table on the floor in the living room (y'kno...local style).

Tomorrow we have Father's Day brunch at The Veranda at the Moana Surfrider Hotel. We have loved this buffet for years, but haven't been in awhile. After (if we don't pass out), we plan to mosie around the home improvement expo going on. Now that we're homeowners, we have lots of networking to do!

Now that I've put you to sleep, I think I need a nap before the organizing begins. :)
