Mazaltov Hassan born circa 1856 in Smirna (Victoria Hassan's mother). Mazaltov was widowed during the Greek invasion of Izmir (Smyrna). Izmir was invaded by Greeks. Moises was shot in 1917 or 1918. He thought the Greek invaders had left so he wandered into town. He was shot possibly by mistake. His body was found in a shallow body of water. Mazaltov lived in Harlem at 8 E. 116th from 1925 to 1930 and in the Bronx from 1930 to 1955. She died at the age of 99. Morris, Leon's brother was named after Moises Hassan.
