Isaac Hodara 1891-1970
Isaac Hodara was born in 1891 in Smyrna, Turkey. Between 1910 and 1920 Isaac Hodara left Turkey for Paris.  He visited America around 1918 and rented an apartment on 8 East 116th.  He visited America via a ship for the 2nd time during the war to escape France 1941-1944.    He was a businessman in the manufacturing of cloth so he had money to travel. He owned cloth factories in France and North Africa. He returned to France after the war and resumed his cloth business.
Isaac lived in Argentina in 1920. He gave his brother Albert his apartment but he was not in New York when they arrived in 1920. Isaac Hodara and his wife Fortuna later moved to New York City. His sons Henri & Ralph went to MIT. Henri married Eden, an artist and moved to California. Isaac and Fortuna followed their son, Henri to the West Coast in the 1960s. Isaac died in 1970. The day after his brother Albert died.
