nosing around the gaming area. Start a conversation, let 'em know about us.
There's no doubt membership is down. I've been around long enough to see the club membership go up and down. No reason to panic. We've got a hard core nucleus of players now that won't go a way for their love of playing. This should be the time when we actually have to help each other than we used to. Guys who don't like to judge the RPG's should reconsider, so that others may have the benefit of a break. I will make an effort to do this more than I have in the past two years and will try to convince others to help out. Cobbs? Barnette? Even though I don't play  D&D as much as the rest of you, I'm well aware that many of you have the rules wired. Certainly this is the chief qualification to be a judge. Our reputation

as a good gaming club rest on how well our judges and  people play.  Fair, honest, creative judging and players willing to stand back to back and toe to toe with friend and foe will do much to increase the reputation of DOGS as a good group of gamers to be associated with.
Remember, DOGS was created for people not a place. We would game even if it was at a park or- God forbid- my place if we had to. Let's try to keep the place we have while searching for an alternative, expand the

membership a little bit, and lastly cross-train each other by each of us pitching in to judge, play, and take care of the door, cooking duties, and clean up so that all of us have fun in a balanced way.
To thine own self be true,

Bruce

Editor's Note: Bruce's letter was oritinally written last November. Although it has been edited to reflect current events, it needs to be mentioned that our new "permanent" location is Jelly's located behind Cutter Ford.
