Having studied the book of Romans over and over, it was not until the very day in which I composed this article, that the stunning realization of what is stated in Chapter 1, verses 18 through 32, at last come to light.

Before I go any further, I want the reader to know that I was formerly a Roman Catholic. I also want it to be known that what I have written here does not apply to all who are yet in Roman Catholicism. I have known many fine folks who are Roman Catholics and many of them include members of my own family. I have also met several really nice priests and nuns in my time whose company I enjoyed and continue to fondly remember. People such as those I just described are decent folks and should never have been members of that institution.

Some folks are in the Roman Catholic Church because it is an unbroken family tradition, whilst others joined it out of well intended but very misguided devotion to YAHUAH. These sorts of people are exceptions to what is otherwise indeed a monstrous institution. For them, my prayer is that:

It was quite a shocker for me when I became aware of the fact that all that is written in Roman Chapter 1 verses 18-32, fits like skin on a body of what eventually became the Roman Catholic Church!

Just look at it!

Ro 1:18 For the wrath of YAHUAH is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

That Romans 1:18-32 is written to a clerical audience is absolutely unmistakable. Who else, but primarily clergy, could these ungodly and unrighteous people who hold the [spiritual] truth in unrighteousness be?

Yes, I know that at the time when these verses were originally written, the Roman Catholic Church did not yet exist. These verses described the conditions in existence amongst those in Rome in Paul's day, who had the truth but held it unrighteously. But these verses sure do fit the Church of Rome now. If a bird walks like a duck; has feet like a duck; quacks like a duck; has a bill like a duck and swims like a duck; well then, it's a duck!

It is obvious that the common people are not those to whom the Scriptures refer as the holders and proclaimers of YAHUAH's truth. The reference is to those who have devoted themselves wholly to the task. The so-called "Church" with its clergy is the entity which the public generally sees as having that role, and it is the "Church" which makes the declaration that it was assigned that role. If it were otherwise, we should see as many if not more homes than churches as places where YAHUAH's Word is read and taught. This is why I am so confident that verses 18 through 32 were written also to those who not long afterward organized themselves into what later became Roman Catholic Church.

Just ask yourself this: Where do most people expect to find a Bible and a man who at least professes to know it and proclaim YAHUAH's Word? In the Church, right?

19 ś Because that which may be known of YAHUAH is manifest in them; for YAHUAH hath shewed it unto them.

This portion of Romans is obviously written as a scorching rebuke to those who were obviously more than casually interested in spiritual matters, and this more than casual interest was important to them only insofar as they used it as a means of acquiring power over the masses. Nevertheless, according to Scripture, these early clergymen had been taught what may be known of YAHUAH.

And from whom do you think they obtained such in-depth knowledge? I'll tell you; they obtained it from the teaching of the apostle Paul in Rome! No one else knew as much about YAHUAH as Paul did, for Paul was in direct communication with the risen glorified Yahuashuah! Paul was personally enlightened by Yahushuah Himself.

As for these early clergymen, what better earthly teacher could they have had other than Paul himself to instruct them in the Word of YAHUAH?

Now ask yourself this:

Which extremely powerful Church eventually arose in Rome and to this day makes the proud boast that it is the sole repository of spiritual truth, and the sole institution on earth claiming exclusive privilege to and responsibility for infallibly interpreting the Scriptures?
Which extremely powerful Church declares itself to be the only valid church on the planet and claims as its own, all ecclesiastical and political power in the world?

The honest answer to these has to be the Roman Catholic Church. They know it; you know it; and I know it.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and divinity; so that they are without excuse:

So the Clergy of the Roman Catholic Church are indeed without excuse.

21 Because that, when they knew YAHUAH, they glorified him not as YAHUAH, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible YAHUAH into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore YAHUAH also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of YAHUAH into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause YAHUAH gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was appropriate.
28 And even as they did not like to retain YAHUAH in their knowledge, YAHUAH gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

So YAHUAH gave up those early clerics to uncleanness and dishonor and YAHUAH continues to do this toward many in the Roman Catholic Clergy for dishonoring Him. He gives many of them up to homosexuality. Those who truly know the Roman Catholic Church, know that it has indeed changed the truths of YAHUAH into lies and has instituted the worship of and service toward things that are created much more than toward the Creator. There is more "love" generally expressed by Catholics for their Pope than for YAHUAH Himself. The Roman Pontiff even takes to himself a title that is the exclusive property of YAHUAH alone. That title is Holy Father. No one but YAHUAH Himself is worthy of that title, yet the Pope has misappropriated it for himself!

It is quite well known that many in the Roman clergy practice homosexual behavior amongst themselves. It is a sin that has been with that institution for many centuries. How often charges of homosexuality and other sexual misconduct involving the Roman Catholic clergy surface in the news! Like the proverbial iceberg, it is certain that the majority of it remains hidden.

Many of the nuns are guilty of this as well. Look at verse 26; it says, "their women" "Their women" is an unmistakably clear reference to a specific group of women and this group necessarily includes the nuns. Many nuns practice homosexuality between themselves, it is a well known fact. Homosexuality is not something exclusively engaged in by the males. Homosexuality as well as heterosexual misconduct occurs more often among the Roman Catholic Church Clergy than with that of any other religious organization. What aggravates sexually inappropriate behavior amongst the Roman Catholic Clergy are the Oaths of Celibacy and Chastity that all the clergy are required to take. Priests and nuns are forbidden to marry. Such oaths go against both human nature and the Word of YAHUAH.

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which YAHUAH hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." (1Ti 4:1-3)

So once again, we have here, verses which fit Roman Catholicism like skin.

It was the so-called "Holy Roman Empire" that ruthlessly conquered much of Europe and large parts of the Middle East during the "Crusades." The heartless Roman clergy were the influence behind the civil authorities who then tortured and burnt at the stake many devout followers of YAHUAH's Word. The civil authorities were expected to do so under the orders of and with the blessings of the Roman Popes. The infamous Spanish Inquisition and Inquisitions held in other European countries were carried out under the orders of the reigning Popes.

Both Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy were nations in which the Roman Catholic Church and her clergy held great sway. In all Latin American nations, and other nations around the world where Roman Catholicism is the dominant influence, the people there suffer under such great economic depression and spiritual suppression that it boggles the mind. They work for peanuts and are expected to give much of their hard earned wages and precious little free time in service to the Roman Church.

Wherever the Church of Rome enjoys controlling power, it is there that you will see such things. Sadly, the USA is rapidly sinking into this very same pit. The influence exercised by the Church of Rome in the politics and policies of the USA today is staggering.

Why do you think the so-called War on Terrorism has on several occasions been called a Crusade by the political leaders of the USA? Rome is behind it. Rome has been behind all wars. Her ambassadors (clerics) are in every country the world over, working behind the scenes, herding entire nations like dumb sheep to the fleecing sheds and from there, when they are of no further use to Rome, its off to the slaughterhouse with them.

"When She is in the minority, She is as gentle as a lamb;
When She is on an equal footing, She is as crafty as a fox;
But when She is in the majority, She is as bloodthirsty and ferocious as a lion!"

While I do not believe that Rome is Mystery Babylon the Seven-Hilled City of The Revelation, as many others have taught; and I do not believe that the Pope is the Great Antichrist that will sit on the throne in the yet to be rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem; I DO however believe that Rome will play a major supportive role in the events which shall result in the placement of the false Messiah on that throne.

May YAHUAH lead many out of Roman Catholicism and other evil religious institutions and into the light of His precious Word.
