2006 SAY SUMMER INDOOR
SOCCER LEAGUE
Attached is the indoor soccer team reservation form. The team reservations are due by APRIL 20TH, 2006. The season would run from approximately the weekend of JUNE 10TH THROUGH AUGUST 19TH or approx 11 weeks, depending on the teams entered. with 9-10 games per slot.
If you know of any gyms in your area, you may want to contact them, and if your club wants a fund raising opportunity, you could set up (and ref, if someone in your club is certified) the games at that gym.
Team Affiliation: Each team needs to be a currently registered team with either SAY, HYSA or AYSO. In the event of liability or medical claims, each team would be covered by their respective league.
Competitive Level: If there are too many teams for one pool, teams will be divided into pools by competitive level. Please make sure you mark whether your team is GOLD, SILVER OR BRONZE on the team entry form.
Team Fees: $300.00 per slot. For teams with full outdoor rosters, you may want to consider taking multiple slots. Every effort will be made to play multiple slots/coaches with multiple teams either back to back or with sufficient time to get to games. Please note on the reservation form if you will be in a "multiple" team situation.
Games: Games will be run at 1 hour intervals, with actual game time being 22 minutes per half, with a 5 minute halftime, for all age groups. All FIFA rules apply, with the additional indoor rules, such as "high balls", punting or throwing past the half line by goalies without touching the floor or another player will be restarted with indirect kicks by the other team. ONLY MINIMAL BODY CONTACT WILL ALLOWED, and NO ONE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE GOALIE (SAFELY) WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO DOWN ON THE FLOOR TO PLAY THE BALL (SLIDE TACKLING, or going down on the floor while playing the ball.)
Games may be Island wide and scheduling is done with preference given to multiple teams/slots since there will be a limited amount of time to travel between games. I ANTICIPATE SATURDAY MORNING AND SATURDAY EVENING GAMES, trying to eliminate Sunday mornings because of conflicts with church, etc.
This is a "DEVELOPMENTAL, FUN LEAGUE", with no scores or standings. TEAMS THAT CAN'T GET INTO THE "SPIRIT" OF THE LEAGUE AND DO NOT LEAVE THEIR ATTITUDES AT HOME WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE LEAGUE!
