Since its launch, the Ka'a Malama No CPR Hula has been performed through out the islands and across the mainland.
The CPR Hula 'Ohana still performs for smaller events in 2006. Even thought the AHA has changed, the CPR Hula remains the same! We can't find a word that rhymes with "signs of circulation".
Brunch on the Beach in Waikiki kicked off EMS Week 2002 with the CPR Hula.
EMS Week 2001 at Honolulu Hale showcased the 'Ohana and our continuing public outreach goals.
The CPR Hula 'Ohana continues to perform at Island events, including the 1999 EMS Week Presentation at Kapi'olani Community College in Honolulu.
The CPR Hula 'Ohana was featured in the Fall 1998 edition of the American Heart Association's Currents.
May 1998, the CPR Hula was the opening presentation of the 10th Biennial International Cardiac Care Conference in Orlando, Florida. The international audience of over 800 enthusiastically applauded the CPR Hula.
May 1998, The CPR Hula 'Ohana received the "Mayor's Award of Excellence" from Honolulu Mayor Jeremy Harris. Then the 'Ohana performed for the audience. Councilperson John Henry Felix and Emergency Services Department Director Dr. Salvatore Lanzilotti became students of the CPR Hula.
October 1997, the CPR Hula was performed during NAEMT Outlook '97 in Reno, Nevada. The Global Med-Net 2000 Award for the Most Innovative Approach to Injury Prevention was given to Sue Archer, the "brainchild" of the CPR Hula.
July 1997, the CPR Hula was presented in JEMS.
April 1997, the CPR Hula was the opening presentation of the 8th Annual Hawaii Emergency Cardiac Care Conference in Waikiki.
December 1996, the CPR Hula made its Hawaiian radio debut on the number one rated radio station, KSSK's Perry and Price Show in the Sheraton Waikiki's Hanohano Room.
