Membership: 
If you served in any allied service in, above or around the
Chosin (Changjin) Reservoir in North Korea November – December 1950 you
belong to a very exclusive fraternity of honor. We invite your company
in "The Chosin Few" which is dedicated to reuniting the survivors of that
campaign for life into one body for sharing. Also providing companionship
and everlasting remembrance of those 297,389 who did not survive that frozen
long-ago.
Founded April 22, 1983, and formally recognized as a Non-Profit
association by the Internal Revenue Service. " The Chosin Few" has membership
from all U. S. services plus South Korean, British Marine Commandos, Royal
Australian Air Force, Ireland, Poland, Scotland and South Africa. The name
stems from the fact that so few were engaged at Chosin and survived. The
real Chosin (Chosen ) Few are those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
The annual membership fee is US $35.00 for all Chosin veterans and
it shall be the duty of the
Board of Directors to determine that which units meet the requirements
for Membership.

service at time of
campaign and their unit, ship, etc., during campaign, together with

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate Membership is also available to persons
who are,
(a) Surviving spouses and /or the children of members.
(b) Immediate family members of persons listed as Missing
in
Action (MIA's) or Prisoners of War (POW's)
from the Chosin Reservoir Campaign
who would otherwise be eligible for membership.
(c) Immediate Family members of persons Killed in Action
(KIA's)
during the Chosin Reservoir Campaign,
who would otherwise be eligible for membership, or
(d) Deserving individuals who have distinguished themselves
by their dedicated
adherence to the principles and purposes ot THE CHOSIN
FEW.
Associate Members may not vote, but may attend meetings
and have the privilege of the floor.
Approval may be granted by a majority vote of a regular
Chapter meeting of members in good standing.
Such approval will then be forwarded to the National
Board of Directors
for confirmation and placement in the membership list.
Dues for Associate Membership are $15.00 annually,
due on the first of January..
Honorary Members and Officers
Honorary membership is restricted to individuals who
have distinguished
themselves on behalf of the Association or to Allied
Servicemen
during or after the Korean War.
Such an individual must be recommended by a
member of the
Board of Directors and shall be exempt from payment
of dues.
Honorary Members may note vote, but may attend meetings
and shall have the privilege of the floor.
The Board of Directors may appoint deserving members
to
the office of Director Emeritus, without vote.
